Founded by Nathan Gazzard, a local from the Northern Beaches with a dream and a passion for the history of his local area, craft beer and surfing. Nathan has brought some key people from the beer, hospitality, business, and surfing industries together to bring this unique story and beers to market. The business has been planned in Waves and will scale from designing the 6 x core rage beers through a local wholesale distribution to a much larger operation that will become our spiritual home; micro-brewery and surf cultural destination located in the very factories of where modern surfing in Australia was born. 

 

Our inspiration comes from the pioneering artisans who founded the Australian surfing industry in the 1950’s, known as The Brookvale Six. Barry Bennett, Gordon Woods, Bill Wallace, Scott Dillon, Greg McDonagh, and Denny Keogh. “These men pioneered the surfboard manufacturing industry in Australia and helped transform how surfing was shaped in Australia and I am thrilled to share their story, so we can revere, have a beer, admire, respect and never forget them or their craft”. Our first Wave we will focus on building out their core range of Six beers, marketing and a strong wholesale sales distribution through local on premise and off premise locations while in parallel designing and planning our own larger operations. We are launching our first beer in August, collaborating with some big names from the beer and surf industry.

 

Our first production is a mix of kegs and cans of our Pintail Lager 4.2% – easy, crisp, sessionable beer with a slight unique twist, designed in collaboration with the Beer Diva, Dave & The Bennett’s.
