Scotty Dillon's Legends Surf Museum

Unfortunately we lost Scotty and he is missed by so many. His legacy lives on. One of the Brookvale 6 and a bloody rascal at times but a loveable character all the time. RIP Scotty

If you missed the chance to get to Scotty Dillon’s Legends Museum? Thanks to Dick Hoole, who took a few photos of the museum, we can now show you the result’s of his labour’s. Scotty who now resides in a Coffs Harbour nursing home, left the museum just as you see it here. Nobody knows if it is all just sitting there, or has been sold??

The museum showcases some exceptional boards and memorabilia, from all era’s whilst it was restricted in size it had quality all the way through. The one thing this museum had, that no other museum could boast, was the one and only Scotty Dillon!! Scotty has been involved in all aspects of surfing, since the 50’s. Scotty was a character and could always come up with a new story, every time you would visit.

Scotty is one of those guys that didn’t have an off switch. One hundred mile an hour in his speedway race car or take off on the biggest wave of the set. The man named his museum after the legends of the sport. I reckon it was named after himself. A Legend!!

If ever you are in Coffs Harbour, we ask you look up the war vets nursing home and turn up to see Scotty with a couple of long neck beers. He still loves a drink and even if you have never met, he will have a story ready for you. (As long as you have a few beers for him). Just ask the nurses to see him and advise them you have a beer for Scotty Dillon.
