We said our farewells to one of the nice guys of surfing royalty yesterday. Always the positive attitude and that bloody smile!!
The Neilson family as always set up a beautiful tribute to Rick and his friends and family all joined together with sadness, but an underlying sense of the joy of life, Rick constantly lived by.
Some of the faces you will recognise, some you may not but they were all there for Rick and it was a fitting farewell to you, RIP Rick Neilsen!

Rick’s son Adam with the assistance of the Burleigh Boardriders held a separate paddle out at Burleigh as his second home and the respect these guys had for Ricky. It was a beautiful morning and there was even a wave for the crew to enjoy.
