We need a sponsor!!!

It’s only $1,000 per year and your company will get exposure like you wouldn’t believe otherwise we may not be able to preserve our surfing history.

This board is one of Phil Fraser’s first boards he made after leaving Shane Surfboards and opening his factory in Mona Vale Sydney.

The following is an answer Phil gave on the Facebook post.

Yes that one of mine probably the rarest I’ve ever seen it was the first of the pure channels from my factory in basset st Mona Vale after I left Shane surfboards in Brookvale this is an extremely rare board and if it’s for sale I know several people including two surfing museums that would be very interested including myself as their are very few of these first belly channels this was before I released them through the flyers on bee tail 6bchsnnels the Surfers I sponsored in Sydney on these channels Alex leaky manly and Dennis carpenter Newcastle junior won every contest they entered the were very experimental as it was a double concave idea I split into the 6 channels to have more flat area on the bottom for more drive and the channels were deep and hard edged 69/40 for lift and direction the didn’t look that good but they certainly went well everyone I ever made I never had one complaint from one surfer I made wiuite few of these at Shane’s they were introduced at bells 1975 by Shane Stedman to the general surfing public at the bells contest and one of the two boards he took to bells is now in the Australian surf museum cheers for posting this
