We need a sponsor!!!

It’s only $1,000 per year and your company will get exposure like you wouldn’t believe otherwise we may not be able to preserve our surfing history.

Power Force was a Central Coast brand and Gordon "Gordo" Knight was the owner. Gordo grew up in Manly with the Mid Steyne crew and has been glassing, shaping, sanding, polishing, well just about everything to build surfboards since he left school. Gordo is one of those no nonsense friends you could trust. This particular board was one of the first 4 fins in history and shaped by Steve Preston. Steve's answer to a FaceBook question below. Steve Preston Top contributor This is one of my boards chuck Henson. It also had extra nose lift coming from under the front foot. I shaped it in about 83.glen Winton ended up buying one of my 4 fins off a mate of mine he knew as well and rode it at black rock in a article in the waves surf magazine. He was also on the front cover. No one was told I shaped it and my shaped n design decal was on the bottom between the fins. The powerforce rail decals were covered up with west wetsuit decals. I made my first 4 fin surfboard in new Zealand while over there surfing with karl hassle in the winter of 1981. I added 2 rear fins to my super nose lifted twin I'd shaped while at mahia peninsular just south of gisborne. I brought the board back to norah head and our first surf back home at soldiers is where glen rode down on a pushbike n saw it lying on the grass near the steps n kiosk next to Karl's board. Glen said (quote) . "4 fins! What a great idea" , he had a quick chat with karl n me n then rode off... A article came out much later about Glen's 4 fins in a surfing magazine. Glen incorporated his heavy flex fins into the concept. My fins in that board had more rake than standard fins of the day. But were not as raked n flexed as glens
