McCoy 188-1-1

We need a sponsor!!!

It’s only $1,000 per year and your company will get exposure like you wouldn’t believe otherwise we may not be able to preserve our surfing history.

This is one of the first lazor Zaps that were made without the Zap logo (as verified by Geoff), very rare and with the artwork by Snow it’s a real gem.

I bought this board 5+ years ago for big $$$ & am truly unsure if they still command that kind of money.
We’ve just had another baby, so am trying to gauge what this board would now be worth as things are tight in our house…
Geoff has seen this board & below is a pretty detailed description. Thanks!
1982 McCoy Lazor Zap shaped by Geoff
6’2
One of the earliest Lazor Zaps to survive, as most of them were ridden into the ground…
Geoff wrote notes to me about the board saying –
“It is a very early day Lazor Zap, before I realized the tails could go wider. More width more speed, more speed more maneuverability. It’s a bloody long time ago”
Custom order made by Geoff for Charles, aka CHUCK
I have shown Geoff this board and spoken about it at length with him.
Because it was a custom, Charles had requested it without the Zap decal (before they got super popular) & wanted it just with the spray on the deck.
All original (Unrestored) in immaculate condition with the professional repair done many years ago to the nose and swallowtail!
