The kneeboard fraternity are a tight knit and often neglected in the mainstream of surfing, however if you find yourself either in the water with a hard core kneeboader it’s a pleasure to watch these guys pull some of the tightest arcs and get deeper and deeper in the room.
Some of the surfboard innovations came from kneeboard design. George Greenough along with Bob McTavish joined together to bring the first V bottom plastic machine. The Greenough fin was another example of this, I remember the first greenough fin I tried and couldn’t believe the thrust compared to the old fins.
I found this site through a chance meeting with Wacka and couldn’t resist placing a link, as I could never hope to emulate a true kneeboaders perspective. Check it out and enjoy the ride.
